Hello Everyone. In my this I'd like to officially introduce you to the world of scrapbooking. I felt that my previous post seemed rather awkward and you might be a little lost on how to start, so I wrote this post to get everything clarified.
Have you ever wanted to make your own scrapbook but don't know how? Personally I used to watch my friends build scrapbooks, yet I didn't know how to start. Well fortunately for you, I will share a few tips on how to start scrapbooking.
Here they are:
First, you should obtain the photographs you would like to put in your scrapbook and sort them neatly on a flat surface or tabletop.
You will need to find or buy an empty scrapbook to use. Pick a design you like. Also buy some scrapbooking paper, stickers, stamps and other items for decoration. Some adhesive glue would come in useful as well.
After you have gotten all you need, you may like to begin cropping pictures to your desired sizes and shapes.
At this point, it would be helpful to pick a general theme for the scrapbook you're making. Anything goes, pick something that you like or find meaningful. Each theme would have a focus (such as cars, travel, people) as well as a color scheme (monochrome, red and yellow and such)
If you want to permanently attach the photos to the page in your scrapbook, you may use adhesives such as glue and double-sided tape. If you intend to remove the photos in future, you can store them with non-permanent methods such as clingfilm.
You may wish to include in your scrapbook pages various collectable items such as newspaper clippings, movie tickets and other flat objects.
Adding captions to the photos can be useful, though you may prefer to exclude such as allow the artwork to speak for itself.
Last but not least, enjoy yourself! Scrapbooking is a wonderful way to express your thoughts and feelings.
I hope that you find the tips and tricks I mention here useful. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment. Stay tuned for more helpful tips and information on scrapbooking.
